Creeping Dogwood

A low, creeping North American woodland, shrubby perennial. Known as dwarf cornel or bunchberry, it makes excellent groundcover in light shade and woodland areas, it does best on moist acid soil.  Cornus canadensis has attractive white flowers ( bracts ) in June, followed by scarlet red, edible fruits in August. Its green leaves can turn a stunning orange to wine red in Autumn. Also native to Eastern Asia.
