Russian Sage Little Spire
A smaller cultivar of perovskia, suited to smaller gardens or courtyards, Perovskia Little Spire is a compact, deciduous sub-shrub with a bushy, airy, erect habit and lovely silvery-white stems. The deeply navided leaves are grey-green and scented of sage. In August and September, charming little blue flowers like velvet bobbles are borne up the stems. Leave the stems in autumn for structure in the border, but cut them back almost to the ground in early spring. Russian sage Little Spire is drought-tolerant, and brings a silver and blue airiness to the garden.
