An attractive, short perennial bush with small, oval green leaves with cream-yellow edges. The crushed leaves produce a strong lemon scent when crushed which is strongest when it’s just about to show its purple whorls of flowers. Used in the kitchen for just this – especially meat and fish dishes – but is just as justifiable in the ornamental garden or to cover some ground. A lovely bush overall, which the bees will thank you for.
