Rose Blanc Double de Coubert – Rugosa Rose
A truly lovely, long-established, repeat-flowering rugosa rose, Rosa Blanc Double de Coubert is a medium-sized, vigorous, deciduous shrub rose with an upright, bushy, suckering habit, and very prickly stems. The navided, leathery leaves have narrow leaflets that are very deeply veined and a deep glossy green, turning yellow in autumn. From July to September, white, pink-blushed buds open to large, semi-double, pure white flowers with golden stamens and a medium-strong old rose scent. A good repeat flowerer, it sometimes produces large, red, tomato-like hips in autumn. Ideal for an informal, flowering hedge, it’s a very healthy, tough rose. Rose Blanc Double de Coubert holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
