White Lesser Periwinkle
Particularly useful for lighting up shady corners, banks and slopes, Vinca minor f. Alba is a low, mat-forming, evergreen perennial with long, spreading shoots. The slightly pointed, ovate leaves are a deep, glossy, light-reflecting green, often marbled with lighter green in spring. Very pretty, single, pure white flowers bloom from April to September. White lesser periwinkle is a very easy, adaptable little plant which will grow virtually anywhere. Neater and more compact than other lesser periwinkles, it spreads to form good, weed-suppressing ground-cover, but is not as invasive as greater periwinkle; cut back any unwanted shoots after flowering.
