Onion Seed Variety Short Description:

Brown Spanish: Golden globes or crisp, pungent flesh. An excellent, main crop variety. Stores well for up to 10 months.

Hunter River Brown: An early globe variety with good flavour and mild taste. The best brown onion for warmer districts.

Hunter River White: Good sized white globes of excellent texture. A popular variety with good flavour.

Odourless: A large and attractive truly odourless onion. Pale brown skin and tender, crisp, mild flavoured flesh.

Brown Spanish Onion:

Sow: Direct in shallow furrows. Cover with Yates Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist. Thin out to 10cm apart when about 12cm tall.

Care: Requires a rich, fertile, free-draining soil in an open, sunny position. Add Thrive Granular All Purpose Fertiliser at planting. Harvest when bulb is formed and tops wilt. Water regularly. Protect from snails with Yates Blitzem.
